How can i add users/devices – manager view

Now that you have become a Manager on our software, you might have noticed a new yellow icon that appeared on your screen. This is the so-called CPANEL icon, which stands for Control Panel. Note that from the time you get Manager privileges, every action will be done through CPANEL only! In order to add a new user (also called sub-user) on your account, you have to access the CPANEL option (see how). Once you access the CPANEL, you will see two main categories:

User List: On this page, you can add new users and sub-users on your account. In order to add a new user, all you have to do is press the “+” button at the bottom left corner as it is shown below . Once you click this button a window will appear with the two following settings:

Email: This is the email address of your user

Send Credentials: If you check this option, an email with the login details will be sent to your user. By default, this option is enabled. If you don’t want your user to receive an email, simply uncheck this option.

 

Object List: From this page, you can add new devices to your customers and also edit the existing devices. In order to access the Object list tab, you must navigate to the object tab (highlighted with green square) as it is shown below:

What is the CPANEL?

The CPANEL feature is available only to users who have “Manager” privileges. Through the CPANEL, managers can perform various critical tasks, like add/edit/delete their users (and sub-users) and also add/edit/delete their GPS Tracker devices and their users’ devices. In order to access the CPANEL menu, please click the yellow button at the top right corner as it is shown below. Note: If you don’t see the CPANEL icon, it means that your account doesn’t have “Manager” privileges.

How can i create a route alert?

Our GPS Tracking software provides you the possibility  to create a “Route alert” notification. This tool will notify you if your vehicles enter or leave a route you have designed on the map! A great tool for companies who want to get notified instantly if their employees deviate their route!

In order to enjoy this feature simply follow the below steps:

  • From the homepage of the software navigate to “Places” tab and then click on the “Routes” tab, as it is shown on the image below. When the “Routes” tab is active ,click the “Add route” button(the big arrow points at the image below).

  • Once you click the “Add route” button the “Route properties” window will appear, as it is shown on the image below. On this window you can edit the settings of the new route you create; you can add the name of this route, assign it to a group of routes, choose the route’s color  and set the deviation. Once you add the settings you wish, all that remains is to design the route on the map. Simply click with your mouse on the road in order to start designing the route.NOTE: Due to GPS drifiting we suggest to use a deviation of at least 0.5 km.

  • The last step would be to create a notification event for the route incident. Open the “Events” tab (see how) and click on the “Add event” button. On the new window that appears, choose as type either the “Route in” (if you want to get notified when your vehicles enter the route you designed on the previous step) or the “Route out” (if you want to get notified when your vehicles exit the route you designed on the previous step).

Sensor Parameters

Below you can find a list with the most common sensor parameters. Please make sure that you check the user manual of your GPS Tracker device before adding a sensor, because instead of these values you might receive IO values (ie. IO85, IO175, IO240 and so on). Through the user manual of your manufacturer, you can understand what these IO values mean!

How can i edit the accuracy of my devices?

When you add a GPS Tracker device to our software, we use some predetermined values in the accuracy settings so you can start tracking your device as soon as possible with the highest efficiency. In the unlikely event you want to edit these settings, follow the below instructions:

1) Edit the settings of the object you want to change (see how).

2) On the new window that appears, click on the “Accuracy” tab and edit the settings that are shown on the below image:

Report functionality features

Our GPS Tracking software allows you to create various kind of reports that will benefit your business and provide you with better insights about the funtionality of your GPS Tracker devices. The functionality of the reports that are available through our GPS Tracking software is vast, and as you can see on the image below, we offer great flexibility when you create your reports.

Report Description:

Name: Here you can add the name of the report you will create. You can choose any name you want, it’s just for your personal reference.

Type: It is the type of the report you can create. Choose the type based on your needs.

Objects: The objects (GPS Tracker devices) this report will be about. You can choose just 1 or multiple objects.

Zones: Choose the zones that will affect your report. This is an optional choice and it is used in certain reports.

Sensors: Choose the sensors that will affect your report. This is an optional choice and it is used in certain reports.

Data items: Choose the items that you want to include on your report.

Format: Choose the format you want your report to be generated. You can choose between HTML, PDF, XLS format.

Show coordinates: Check this option if you wish to list the coordinates your vehicle driven in the report.

Show addresses: Check this option if you wish to list the addresses your vehicle driven in the report.

Show markers: Check this option if you wish to export the markers you already add on the software.

Show zones instead of addresses: Check this option if you wish to list the zones and not the addresses your vehicle driven in the report.

Stops: Choose the time variable that stops will be calculated in the report.

Speed limit: Set the speed limit for the report.

 

Schedule Description:

Daily: Check this option if you wish to receive the report on a daily basis.

Weekly: Check this option if you wish to receive the report once a week.

Send to e-mail: Write the email you want to be notified. You can add more than one email addresses, if you separate them with a comma.

 

Time Period Description:

Filter: Choose a predetermined time period you want your report to be generated.

Time From – Time To: Choose custom time period you want your report to be generated.

 

Button Description:

Generate: Generate the report. This report will not be saved, however it will be available on the “Generated list”.
Save: Save the report and you can generate it later.
Cancel: Cancel the creation of the report.

How can i configure the fuel consumption for my vehicles?

Our pioneer GPS Tracking Software uses a complex algorithm, which is capable to provide 90% accuracy about the fuel consumption of your vehicles! You can make use of this feature, by simply adding the fuel consumption rate of your vehicles.

First of all, you have to open the settings of your vehicles, by pressing the “Settings” tab and then click the edit icon, exactly as the image below shows :

2) Once the new window appear, navigate at the”Fuel Consumption” tab, which is highlighted with red square on the below image:

In this new window, you can edit the fuel consumption settings of your vehicle!
Source: Here you can choose the source of the fuel consumption. We recommend using Rates.
Measurement: You can choose between litres and MPG. Default setting is l/100km.
Cost per liter: Here you add hte cost per fuel liter. On our example the liter costs 1,5euro.
Rates Summer rate (kilometers per liter): Here you type the consuption of your vehicle. In our example the vehicle consumes 7litre/100 km.
Rates Winter rate (kilometers per liter): Here you type the consuption of your vehicle in the winter months. In our example the vehicle consumes 7litre/100 km.
Winter from: Finally on the two last options you define when you want to count the winter rate (from which month of the year.)

 

How can i connect the ignition detection sensor?

In order to connect the Ignition detection on our GPS Tracking Software and learn when the engine of your vehicle is ON or OFF, you will have to follow the below instructions:

1) You will need to connect the Ignition cable of your GPS Tracker device (usually the yellow cable, DI1) at a cable of your car, which has power when the engine is ON (Please refer to the user manual of your device). We suggest to connect it directly to the ignition cable.

2) Once you have connected the proper cable, edit your GPS Tracker device and navigate on the “Sensors” tab.

3) Press the “+” button which is located at the bottom of the window, and the below options will appear.

4) Add a new Sensor by using the below options:

Name: Engine Status (you can write anything you want here)
Type: Ignition (ACC)
Parameter: It depends on how you have connected your cables. However it will be one of the following options:
Autogeo
DI1
Type: Logic
If sensor “1” (text): Engine ON
If sensor “0” (text): Engine OFF

Finally press the “Save” button and you have created a new sensor for your GPS Tracker device! You can view the sensors at the notification tab, as it is shown below:

How can i add sensors on my devices?

Adding sensors on your GPS Tracker device will allow you to increase the capabilities and enhance the features your GPS Tracker devices provide you! Our pioneer Tracking Software accepts a variety of sensors, however, in the first place, your GPS Tracker device is responsible for providing us the proper details. Therefore it is crucial to enable all the appropriate I/O (input/output) sources of your GPS Tracker device, in order to provide the software all the required details in order to present the findings from your sensors.

We strongly recommend checking the user manual of your GPS Tracker device, before continuing on.

 

1) On the GPS Tracker device you want to add sensors, click on the dots icon and then click on the “Edit” button.

2) On the new window that will appear, click on the “Sensors” tab and then click the “+” icon at the bottom left corner, as it appears on the figure below.

 

 

 

3) On the new window that will appear (figure below) you will see the “Sensors Properties” window. From there you can add all the appropriate details about your new sensor.

How can i create the maintenance feature?

The service maintenance feature is a very helpful feature that once it is configured, it notifies you when your vehicles need to undertake the service maintenance.

1) First of all, you need to add the current kilometers (or miles) your vehicle has. In order to do so, edit your vehicle settings (Figure 1, below).

2) Navigate to the “Service Tab” and click on the “+” located at the bottom of the window (highlighted with blue square).

3) Once you press the “+” button a new window will appear where you can set the service maintenance. From there you can configure the service maintenance feature according to your needs. For example, you can set the next maintenance to occur when the vehicle has made some specific kilometers, or when the engine has worked for some specific hours.

4) Don’t forget if you want to get notified about the service, you will have to create a notification event!
